Addressing illegal dumping is a top priority for me and my team. Recently in the Sylmar and Shadow Hills communities in partnership with City departments we addressed illegal dumping on Maclay St. in Sylmar, and on Foothill Blvd. in Shadow Hills.

Please remember to report neighborhood blight by using 3-1-1 and by contacting my offices: Pacoima office at (818) 485-0600, Sylmar office at (818) 756-8409, or the Sunland-Tujunga office at (818) 352-3287.

Team MRod joined ST Forward for the 4th annual Indigenous Peoples day celebration at Big Tujunga Canyon. This educational event featured music, dance, storytelling, and spoken word to honor the rich cultures and wisdom of our local Tongva, Tataviam, Chumash, and other Native populations of California and the Americas who call LA home.

Today, we acknowledge the invaluable contributions and diverse cultures of the Indigenous People who were here long before the colonization of the Americas began. Here in Los Angeles, we celebrate those who first called this land home and honor their contributions to our diverse city.
