Abandoned RVs pose serious health and safety hazards in our neighborhoods — and I share residents’ frustration about getting them addressed quickly. That’s why my team partnered with @lacitysan , and @ladotofficial to remove 5 abandoned RVs, 1 abandoned van, and 2 abandoned cars in Pacoima. 🙌 Through this operation, we also housed one individual.

Together, we’re keeping our streets safe, clean, and accessible for everyone.

I know the holidays can be especially challenging for families facing food insecurity. Thanks to my incredible team and our community partners, we provided complete Thanksgiving meals, turkeys, sides, and dessert to 1,256 families across Council District 7

This annual tradition means so much to me because it allows us to connect directly with our neighbors and offer meaningful support.

Strengthening public safety through key upgrades to our pedestrian and traffic infrastructure remains a top priority of mine. I’m proud that we’ve secured a $42.3M grant from the State’s Active Transportation Program to transform Osborne St. between San Fernando Rd. and Foothill Blvd. This project will expand access to transit options, neighborhood destinations, open spaces, and local trails.

Great news! With so many small businesses still struggling, I was proud to lead the expansion of The City’s Microenterprise Grant Program —with new funding to help small businesses address security and safety concerns.

This journey began with a motion I introduced in September 2024, and I’m excited to see it come to life to support our small businesses and the communities they brighten every day.

This year, I allocated $135,000 for targeted tree trimming and the removal of hazardous and dead trees in our neighborhoods. A special thank you to @bsslosangeles for partnering with us to get this work done efficiently and with care for our community’s tree canopy.
