In light of the continued ICE raids across the country and in our neighborhoods, I partnered with @iconcdc to provide microgrants for families and individuals in our communities that have been directly affected. This new funding expands our capacity to support more community members during this critical time by providing direct, immediate assistance to those who need it most.

“If you care about homelessness, then you should care about making sure that public dollars are being maximized for effective results.”

Today’s arrest of a non-profit executive who allegedly stole $23 million meant to address homelessness in Los Angeles is infuriating.

We cannot let another dollar go to waste. It’s time for the City Council to act on my legislation, which would let the City contract directly with service providers to ensure transparency, accountability, and real results.
